The Supreme Court’s Willful Blindness In The Face Of Racial Animus
The Supreme Court has upheld the Trump administration's policies regarding Temporary Protective Status for Haitians, a decision that has drawn criticism for its perceived racial bias. Despite the President's documented statements expressing animus toward Haitians and the Department of State's 'Level 4 - Do Not Travel' advisories for Haiti, the Court's majority claimed to find no evidence of racial motivation, prompting concerns about the erosion of principles of justice.

Kraken Select D Ola Palme 166th Overall!
Another swede! This one having fallen quite a bit according to the prognosticators! Palme comes from the Växjö Lakers HC U20 team, where his smart, sensible game as well as quick passing gave him a respectable point total for a defender, and a nod for Sweden’s U18 World Juniors roster, where they won Gold. Palme was also ranked by EliteProspects at 100th overall, 79th overall by The Hockey News’ Tony Ferrari, and 38th among EU skaters by the NHL Central Scouting poll. This young man may be a hidden gem? It remains to be seen. Let’s all welcome Ola to The Deep!

Kraken Select Luken “Hawke” Huff 148th Overall!
I do not mean this lightly. Hawke Huff might be in the top 10 of names in this draft, and there are some good names in this draft. Huff comes to us from the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL, where he stands at 6’3, 198 pounds. He’s an overager, but he’s definitely built for pro hockey at this stage. How he handles the next step, playing for St. Thomas in the NCAA, remains to be seen. But I mean, any time you can draft someone by the name of Hawke Huff, you gotta do it. Let’s all welcome Hawke to The Deep!

Kraken Select Defender Finn Kearns 131st Overall!
Now this is an interesting pick. Seattle traded down for this pick with the New York Rangers, and selected a player from Prep High School, who is now committed to playing at Umass Amherst for the Minutemen this Fall. He was unranked by everybody, and while his dimensions of 6’3 and 212 pounds is enticing, we’re probably gonna need to see some of what he can do at UMass before we make any real judgements on him. What are you cooking here, Jason? Let’s welcome Finn to The Deep!
