Kraken Select D Rylan Singh 198th Overall!
The 1st of the last round of the playoffs involves a young man from Pickering! Rylan Singh plays for the Guelph Storm, having a respectable line for a defenseman in OHL time, and stands at 6’0, 187 pounds; shooting right. Here are his stats!

Kraken Select D Ola Palme 166th Overall!
Another swede! This one having fallen quite a bit according to the prognosticators! Palme comes from the Växjö Lakers HC U20 team, where his smart, sensible game as well as quick passing gave him a respectable point total for a defender, and a nod for Sweden’s U18 World Juniors roster, where they won Gold. Palme was also ranked by EliteProspects at 100th overall, 79th overall by The Hockey News’ Tony Ferrari, and 38th among EU skaters by the NHL Central Scouting poll. This young man may be a hidden gem? It remains to be seen. Let’s all welcome Ola to The Deep!

Kraken Select Luken “Hawke” Huff 148th Overall!
I do not mean this lightly. Hawke Huff might be in the top 10 of names in this draft, and there are some good names in this draft. Huff comes to us from the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL, where he stands at 6’3, 198 pounds. He’s an overager, but he’s definitely built for pro hockey at this stage. How he handles the next step, playing for St. Thomas in the NCAA, remains to be seen. But I mean, any time you can draft someone by the name of Hawke Huff, you gotta do it. Let’s all welcome Hawke to The Deep!

Kraken Select Defender Finn Kearns 131st Overall!
Now this is an interesting pick. Seattle traded down for this pick with the New York Rangers, and selected a player from Prep High School, who is now committed to playing at Umass Amherst for the Minutemen this Fall. He was unranked by everybody, and while his dimensions of 6’3 and 212 pounds is enticing, we’re probably gonna need to see some of what he can do at UMass before we make any real judgements on him. What are you cooking here, Jason? Let’s welcome Finn to The Deep!

The contract details of new Seahawks offensive lineman Bobby Hart
Hey, remember when the Seattle Seahawks signed offensive lineman Bobby Hart before mandatory minicamp? He’s an experienced tackle who was a three-year starter for the Cincinnati Bengals, and he’s the “competition” for Josh Jones heading into training camp. If you’re curious as to how much Hart costs, as I’m sure you are on this late […]

Kraken Select F Viktor Fedorov 99th Overall!
The Kraken used their 99th overall pick to get a little russian flair in their draft class! Fedorov comes from Tomsk, Russia, sitting at 5’10 and 183 pounds, shooting left. He plays in the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod club; which like all Russian teams, tends to ping-pong it’s prospects across their teams until they find a spot in which they can sit. As a result, he played in all three levels of their system and got points in all of them; showing a patient, intelligent style of play while not shying away from physical contact. His point totals aren’t going to wow anyone, but he was spending a lot of time getting sent up and down the Novgorod system this year, so it’s at least understandable. With more stable minutes, I imagine he’ll start to blossom into who he really is. Here are his stats! Let’s all welcome Viktor to The Deep!

Kraken Select F Casey Mutryn 38th Overall!
The Kraken’s 2nd rounder was used on USNTDP winger Casey Mutryn! Mutryn hails from Norwood, MA and is 6’3, 203 pounds, shooting Right. He’s primarily known in the USNTDP circles for his defensive game, which has made him a nightmare to forecheck against, as well as his willingness to get physical without overcommitting. Here are his stats! Stats provided by EliteProspects.com Let’s all welcome Casey to The Deep!

Podcast: Brandon Roy Reinstated At Garfield High Following WIAA Exoneration
Former NBA star Brandon Roy has been reinstated as head coach of Garfield High School's boys basketball team, following his clearance by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) of prior recruiting violation allegations. The WIAA's investigation, which concluded in May 2026, found all evidence to be unsubstantiated, paving the way for Roy's return to his alma mater. His reinstatement underscores a commitment to student well-being and addresses the complexities of high school athletics, with Seattle Public Schools acknowledging the need for improved support structures for coaches.
